The beginning of the year was somewhat bleak with no idea of the scale of the pandemic for the next few months. That being said, we are proud to be part of a resilient industry that has continued to bounce back and overcome continuous challenges with increased raw material costs and supply shortages.
In September we sold our 5 millionth product of 2021 continuing to launch new products to the market right into December.
We wanted to share with you some of our favourite projects in 2021 and to thank our customers, old and new, for supporting us through a difficult year.
Since 2010, we have worked with the team at Center Parcs to transform their family offering so that younger visitors can make great memories to take home. From party bags to activity sheets and family games, each product encourages entire family participation at the table. The latest edition to their family offering was three Bizzi Activity Mats perfectly timed for their Winter Forest Lights experience.
Since 2017 we have created big smiles in Fridays restaurants right across the UK. Our Team Fridays activity pack never gets old with two new designs on a quarterly basis. We develop each pack to celebrate Fridays’ rich heritage and include activities for children to engage with the team and their surroundings. In December we celebrate the 20th edition of the Team Fridays activity pack! We are already planning for 2022, with another exciting year of activities.
Set in 300 acres of stunning Hertfordshire countryside, The Grove is the ultimate 5-star retreat for families! Craftis was pleased to work with the team to create a fabulous children's offering. Little visitors will receive a welcome activity bag and enjoy a fun adventure trail checklist, activity booklet, creative sticker scene and yummy recipe card!
Our first partnership launched with Bella Italia into all stores in Summer 2021. Rolled out with a competition to design and make the perfect Vespa, we worked hard to ensure the initial design and structure of the pop-out, was a solid base for families to enjoy at the table. This project saw great guest engagement and gave us some great feedback in order to develop our pop-out range.
Pepe’s Peri Peri
Working to a specific brief, Craftis created a takeaway meal bag that included a mini pencil and retro pinball game. After launching at the beginning of 2020 this project was a huge hit with customers- a new set of designs has entered stores in September and we are already working on a 3rd for 2022! We have supplied over 260,000 units in 2020 with further sites opening now and increased orders in production for over 320,000 bags in 2022.
This was a really exciting project as their fusion of Lebanese and Middle Eastern colour pallet, pattern, and shape made it really unique! From creating falafel family characters (which are a real favourite from their menu), to working alongside Leanne and the team, the whole process was a great delight. We created a bright, exciting booklet that folds out into a larger activity sheet, packed with puzzles, colouring and games for all the family to get involved in and enjoy together around the table, which works perfectly for their family restaurants!
Celebrity chef, Angela Hartnett's Italian Restaurant chain has three sites in London and has been awarded 1 Michelin Star and 4 AA Rosettes. Ingrida at Cafe Murano was a delight to work with when designing their bespoke menu mats. They are somewhat different to our normal designs - and work perfectly for the Cafe Murano restaurant atmosphere and theme.
It's been great to see the reaction of our family experience on kids faces and gather some great feedback about our designs for 2022. We are ready to bring on next year and the launch of some exciting developments to our Original Bizzi Bag!
