Our Research
Award Winning Design Team
Craftis is constantly researching new ways that children can interact with their activity packs in the most engaging and educational way.
Taking inspiration from the latest trends, the education sector and their own children, the Design Team creates 100s of bespoke designs year on year.
Craftis manufactures wax triangular and hexagonal crayons that won't roll off the table- a big hit with children and team members alike!
Inclusive Design Changes
Craftis is happy to organise child focus groups, questionnaires for parents and team guides to help drive projects forward.
Clear, simple instructions are supported by visual prompts and example answers to help young children understand each activity. ‘Learn to Sign’ activities in Makaton further support all children in developing their communication, language, and literacy skills.
These small adaptations are particularly beneficial for children who have English as an additional language, as well as those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
Screen Time Guidance
"Whilst high-quality digital content can support early learning, it cannot substitute for the social, emotional, and physical experiences that come from real-world engagement." EYSTAG, 2026.*
Screen use has increased significantly, especially among teenagers, but even younger children are exposed regularly.
Excessive screen time in early years (0-5) can negatively affect sleep, physical activity, creativity, and family interaction.
“Safe screen swaps,” such as reading, game play, and conversation, especially during mealtimes, helps support with language, problem-solving skills, good behaviours, and stronger family connections.
