Exploring China: Behind the Scenes of Our Creative Journey
A few weeks ago, I had the incredible opportunity to join Mum and Dad (Suzanne & Michael Halpin) on their business trip to China — and what an adventure it was! ✈️
After 25 hours of travel, we finally touched down in Ningbo, slightly jet lagged but excited! Over the next few days, we met with our amazing suppliers, building relationships and checking our safety and quality standards across all areas of manufacture.
We explored fresh ideas for new children's activities, and fine-tuned our takeaway product range — all while sampling some delicious local lunches. 🍴
One of the absolute highlights for me was visiting our crayon factory. Watching the full process — from raw ingredients being blended, to the vibrant crayons being moulded, labelled, and packed — it was incredible. 🖍️

Next stop: Guangzhou, for the world-famous Canton Fair. We walked what felt like miles of exhibition halls, discovering new trends, gathering inspiration for future products, and connecting with incredible creators and innovators from around the globe. 🌏
It was an unforgettable trip filled with creativity, colour, and connection — we can’t wait to bring some of those bright new ideas to our range soon!
